Lieutenant Dickinson Career
Lieutenant Dickson began his career with the City of Hemet Police Department in 1997. In 2009, Lieutenant Dickson was assigned to the department's Professional Standards Unit. In that capacity, Lieutenant Dickson was responsible for supervising the Records Bureau, conducting internal affairs investigations, and risk management. In 2011, Lieutenant Dickson was promoted to Lieutenant where he oversees the Records, Community Services, and Quality of Life bureaus. Lieutenant Dickson also supervises the Internal Affairs division.

Positions Held
Lieutenant Dickson began his career with the City of Hemet Police Department in 1997. He has been a field training officer, an explorer advisor, and was involved with the Police Activities League. He was assigned to the department's TARGET team and the department's Crime Suppression Team with an emphasis on gang enforcement. After promoting to Corporal and Sergeant, Lieutenant Dickson was assigned to the patrol division where he served as the watch commander and supervised day and night patrol shifts. Lieutenant Dickson also served as team leader for the department's Crisis Negotiations Team (CNT).

Education
Lieutenant Dickson holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from California State University - Fullerton, a POST Supervisory certificate, and is a graduate of the POST Sherman Block Leadership Institute.
